Another exciting distinction of the Joshua generation is that they were born in the wilderness, but they did not die in the wilderness. They were born into an unfavourable situation, but they did not remain in that situation. Some people ended in the wilderness, but the Joshua generation made it out of the wilderness; some destinies were swallowed up in the wilderness, but the wilderness could not swallow Joshua’s generation.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you will not end where you started. Your destiny cannot stop where you are at the moment; you will not be swallowed up in whatever challenge you are passing through; you will not be consumed by any adversity; you will not be reduced by any setback that comes your way; you will not be caged by any challenge that is waiting for you in the future; you will make it out of whatever wilderness you are in.
You may have started in the place of pain, but you will not remain in pain; you may have started in the place of disadvantage but you will not remain disadvantaged; you may be empty handed at the moment, but you will not remain empty handed; you may have been born poor but you will not remain poor; you may have started small but you will not remain small; you may have started in the wilderness but you won’t end there.
Hear me as I hear the Lord: your future is greater than your present. The blessings on the way will outweigh what you saw in past years; the open doors ahead of you will eclipse past closed doors; the opportunities ahead of you are greater than your wilderness; the testimonies God is yet to bring your way will make a mess of whatever you have seen; the weight of glory that is to be revealed in you is greater than where you are now.
You won’t have a better yesterday; your path will shine brighter and brighter; I call you into an upward movement that can’t be reversed; you will grow out of your wilderness; you will rise above your background. Your end shall be better than your beginning.
