Unexpected Thrones

A Divine Encounter

11th September 2022

Scripture Reading: Joshua 5: 13-15, 6: 1-20

Focus

“And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant?” (Joshua 5: 14)

When Joshua came close to Jericho, he found that it was surrounded by walls. Joshua needed to step into Jericho to possess the land that God promised His people, but he could not go in because of the wall of Jericho. There was a wall that tried to halt Joshua’s movement into his next level; there was a wall that wanted to scuttle Joshua’s progress. There was an opposition standing in the way of Joshua. There was a roadblock on his pathway.

While standing by the wall of Jericho, Joshua saw an angel that described himself as the captain of the Lord’s host. So in the same place where he saw a wall, he also saw an angel. In the place where he met opposition, his eyes were opened to see a divine appearance. It seemed that the wall caused heaven to send an angel to Joshua. The opposition led to a divine encounter. The satanic roadblock led to a divine appearance.

Friend, whenever there is a wall on your way, call forth a divine appearance. Call forth angelic help for every roadblock on your pathway. Call forth angels with drawn swords each time you face a human or even demonic opposition. Call forth the host of heaven to help you with the haters that have stood against your progress. Let your battles be an occasion for divine encounters. Let your adversity open the gates of the supernatural to you.

Whenever there is a wall, there is a God who is standing by to make a way. The reason why you see walls all around is because God wants to reveal Himself in a new dimension to you. The walls in your destiny are not there to stop you; they are there to grow your revelation of God. The opposition against you is an indication for divine intervention. Your battles are an indication for angelic assistance and divine revelation.

Don’t lose your faith simply because of the walls that have been erected to stop you. As surely as the Lord lives, divine encounter will be activated as the walls show up.

Declaration

Every wall I encounter will attract a divine encounter towards me, in Jesus’ name!
