A Divine Portion

23rd December 2019

Scripture Reading: Luke 2: 1-40

Focus

“And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.” (Luke 2: 7)

The virgin birth of Jesus was a miracle that only God could have made happen, and when He arrived, He was delivered to Mary. Mary became a custodian and an owner of a miracle only God could do. Mary became the owner of a miracle that God sent for His own divine purpose. Mary got a portion that was divinely packaged and orchestrated; Mary got a portion that God Himself arranged for; she got a divine portion.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you shall have a divine portion. You shall become the recipient of a miracle that only God could have made happen; you will receive a portion that God arranged all by Himself; you will receive mighty works of God as gifts; you will become the custodian of mind-blowing wonders that God Himself orchestrated; your life will become God’s platform to put His power and glory on display.

Others may have been accustomed to normal birth in the days of Mary, but Mary’s portion was conceived by the Holy Ghost. She was the first to receive the sort of portion she received. Hear me as I hear the Lord: your portion shall be different from the portion of others; yours shall be called that portion that is the first of its kind; others may not have received it but you will receive it; your miracles will be unprecedented.

The process of Jesus’ birth, and the divine agenda He came to fulfill, were all God’s business; but the child Jesus came as the baby of Mary. Mary became the beneficiary of a divine process she did not orchestrate. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you will be a beneficiary of divine processes and plans you did not put in place; you may not have played any role to put divine agenda in place, but in this season, you will be a beneficiary.

Great and mighty wonders are set to berth at your doorsteps; unprecedented miracles are showing up for you in grand style.
