One distinction of the Joshua generation is that they completed what their fathers started. Their fathers got a promise but never lived to see the fulfillment of the promise. Their fathers knew that God was going to give them a land, but it was the Joshua generation that saw the fulfillment of what God promised. They fulfilled the dreams of their fathers. They did what their fathers could not do. They did better than their fathers.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you shall be counted among those who fulfilled their dreams. You will fulfill the dreams of your fathers; you will even surpass the dreams of those who have already gone ahead of you; you will exceed the boundaries that people ahead of you could not exceed; you will break the same records that your predecessors could not break; you will do better than your fathers. You have grace to be greater.
Are there dreams in the heart of your family? Are there dreams that people ahead of you could not fulfill? Are there promises that God made to your family that He is yet to fulfill? Get set to receive the fulfillment of heaven’s promise; get set for the dreams of yesterday to become your reality; prepare to see yourself do what others could not do; prepare to see yesterday’s impossibilities become your reality; get set to step into the places your fathers could not step into.
This year, get set to have what your fathers did not have; get set to enjoy the favours they didn’t enjoy; get set to step into places they never stepped into; get ready to possess what they never possessed; get set to break the records they couldn’t break; get set to rise higher than they ever did; get set to attain the greatness your fathers were never able to attain.
You belong to the generation that does better than their fathers. If God be for you, then get set: you will finish what your fathers started, and you will do better than your fathers.
