Our Focal Scripture speaks of how Jesus showed up in the midst of the sea at the fourth watch of the night. In the Jewish culture, the fourth watch of the night was the last watch of the night before dawn. The fourth watch marked the end of the night and the unveiling of the morning. It was symbolic of the beginning or opening of a new chapter. So the showing up of Jesus was like an announcement of a new chapter.
Friend, you may have been through a terrible ‘night’ season; you may have been tossed in the midst of the seas by violent waves that won’t let you move forward; you may have been hindered by men who prefer to see you at the same spot from year to year; you may have been through sad experiences that nearly broke you down; you may have faced more than enough setbacks, delays, rejections, closed doors, embarrassments, etc.
Today, hear me as I hear the Lord: it’s a new season for you. A new chapter of good news has been opened in your life; a new season of increase has begun in your life; a new phase of back to back testimonies and breakthroughs has been unveiled; a new season that will herald countless celebrations has just begun; a new season of relevance and influence has just begun; a new chapter of favor has been opened to you.
Jesus showed up in the fourth watch of the night, and the storm ceased and there was calm; Jesus showed up, and the negative season of struggles ended. Hear me as I hear the Lord: as Jesus shows up for you, negativity will give way; prolonged struggles will give way; things that made you cry in time past will give way; situations that hurt and reduced you will give way; a new season of laughter and celebration shall be unveiled.
Ask the Lord to unveil a new chapter in your life; ask God to cause your ‘night’ season to give way to a better season.
