ANOTHER MAN’S MISTAKE

31st July 2023

Scripture Reading: 1 SAMUEL 16: 1-14

Focus

“6. And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the LORD'S anointed is before him. 7. But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him…” (1 Samuel 16: 6-7)

In our Focal Scripture, Samuel saw Eliab, and he exclaimed that surely, the Lord’s anointed is before him. Eliab was not the one whom God chose; David was the chosen one, but the prophet was about to make a mistake that would cost David his place. Another man’s mistake was about to cost David his place. Another man’s mistake was about to put David’s destiny in trouble. Another man’s mistake was about to push David aside.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you will not be the victim of another man’s mistake. You will not be delayed or denied because of another man’s mistake. You will not lose your place because of another man’s mistake. You will not suffer as a result of an error that another man made. You will not suffer as a result of another man’s miscalculation. You will not lose your place on account of the wrong judgement of another man.

Every mistake that the enemy is trying to use against you, let the blood of Jesus speak against it. The Lord speaks against every mistake in your career, business, ministry, finances, family, vocation, etc. Every mistake that the enemy wants to use against you, I decree, it will not happen. Every mistake that you will make and it will reduce your chances of greatness, I decree, it will not happen.

Samuel was on the pathway of making a mistake that will shortchange David, but the voice of the Lord interrupted him. Today, I pray for you: may the Lord interrupt any man that is about to make a mistake that will hinder your destiny. May the Lord interrupt every man whose mistake will make you a victim. May the Lord interrupt any man whose mistake will cost you your place. May the Lord interrupt you on the verge of mistakes.

Again, I decree, you will not be the victim of another man’s mistake. You will not make mistakes that will cost you your place in destiny.

Declaration

I will not be a victim of another man’s mistake, in Jesus’ name!
