Scripture Reading: ZECHARIAH 4: 1-9

Focus

“And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep,” (Zechariah 4: 1)

When the angel showed up in our Focal Scripture, he awakened Zechariah as one that was wakened out of his sleep. The angel of the Lord showed up, and he needed to rouse Zechariah from his position which seemed like sleep. So, Zechariah was sleepy rather than sensitive. Zechariah was in that place where his spiritual sensitivity needed to be awakened. Zechariah was in that place where the angel needed to literally wake him up.

Friend, it’s time to wake up from every sleep. It is time to wake up from your slumber. It is time to wake up from being lazy in the things of the Spirit. It is time to be awakened in your inner man. It is time for your spiritual gifts to be awakened. It is time for your consecration to be awakened. It is time for your greatness to be awakened. It is time for your creativity to be awakened. It is time for your strength to be awakened.

There was a new thing that heaven was about to say, there was a new thing that heaven wanted to make happen, and the person who would be central to it needed to be awakened out of what seemed like sleep. You may not fulfill your roles in heaven’s agenda until you wake up from that sleep that wants to end your destiny. You may not become all that heaven has destined you to become until you are roused from slumber.

This year, there is a lot that heaven has destined you to achieve; there is a lot of impact that heaven has called you to make; there is a lot of work that you can help heaven to accomplish; there is a lot of divine wills that must become reality through you; there is a higher level of greatness for you to attain; there is so much more that you can become, and you won’t become it by remaining sleepy in destiny when you should be awake.

Don’t accept to remain in the place of slumber. Roll up your sleeves, dust up yourself, break out of every slumber and rise to the occasion of heaven’s call upon you.

Declaration

I refuse to stay in the place of sleep and slumber; I am divinely awakened, in Jesus’ name!
