Our Focal Scripture makes mention of how Isaac waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great. The phrase ‘forward’ as used in that scripture, comes from the Hebrew word ‘kadima’, which is used to connote a military advancement in battle formation. So Isaac waxed great, and advanced in battle formation before he became very great. So the difference between being great and very great, were his battles.
Friend, if there be battles standing in the way of your movement from great to very great, I decree victory in your favour. I decree, you will win every battle against your forward movement. You will win every battle against your rising. You will defeat every conspiracy against your next level. You will break down the walls that want to stop you from entering your ‘Jericho’. You will win every contention and contender against your greatness.
Isaac became very great after fighting battles that came his way after he became great. You might need to get used to the fact that as you rise, battles will also arise to stop you. As you rise, there will be conspiracies to make sure you stay down. As you rise, the gates of hell will be unleashed against you. As you rise, like Isaac, you will even meet men who will literally cover your wells with sand. As you rise, battles will need to be fought.
The same way Isaac battled his way until he became very great, commit yourself to winning every battle the enemy raises against you. Win the battles against your focus, consistency, commitment, dedication, rising, character, etc. Win the battle of sin. Win the battle over every distraction. Win the battles against the structures of hell that are positioned against you. Win the battles against everything that wants to stop you.
Greatness is not for the fainthearted. Moving from great to very great involves battles that want to hinder you. Commit to fighting and winning. Don’t lose your next level of greatness because you failed to fight and win.
