Don’t Walk Away

Focus

“There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.” (1 Corinthians 15: 41)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.

Our Focal Scripture speaks of the glory of the sun, and how there is a different glory of the moon and stars. Mention was also made of how each star differs from another star in glory. Notice that the sun, moon and stars were all described as having glory. Their glories may have differed, but they all have glory nonetheless. Their glories may be on different levels, but it doesn’t remove the glory of any. They are lights with glory on different levels.

Friend, in 2023, normalize accepting the level of glory your light has and allow others to manifest the level of glory that their own light has. You may never even be on the same glory level with everyone around you. There will be lights that will be greater than yours, and there will be lights you will be greater than. There will be glories that will exceed yours, and there will be glories that your glory will exceed. Every light will have its own level.

Don’t enter into the error of feeling bad because you are not the brightest light around. Don’t make the mistake of leaving your lane in other to chase other lights that are in their own lane. Don’t be tempted to make 2023 a battle or a needless competition with lights that are currently shining brighter than you. Every light has its own time. Every man has his own time of manifestation. Every man has his own moment of glory.

Ask God to plant you as a burning and shining light that will shine forth at the level that heaven has granted you capacity. Ask the Lord to make you that light that will not be put off. Ask the Lord to make you that light that will be content as other lights shine. Ask the Lord to make you that light that will give light to your generation. Ask the Lord to make you a light that will be relevant at whatever level heaven has positioned you.

Remember, you may not be the greatest light, but your light has its own glory. Be content with the glory that God has bestowed on you. Be content to let others shine on their own level even if they are ahead of you.

Ephesians 5: 8 says: “For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:”

Declare With Me: I will be content with the glory of my own light, in Jesus’ name!
