Our Focal Scripture introduces the parable of two men who built houses, one on a rock and the other on sand. Sand is usually loose, but when it is hardened by weathering, it forms rocks; so rocks are sands that have been formed; rocks are sands that got better with time; rocks are sands that underwent processes that improved them. The major difference between the house built on a rock and the one built on sand is the forming process.
Friend, if you want to last long like that house that was built upon a rock, then God needs to form and mould you into a better vessel. God needs to pass you through His making process; He needs to feed you with His word; He needs to cut off the vices in you that want to cut you short prematurely; He needs to beat you into shape; God needs to make you better than you are currently; God needs to form you into a rock.
Your life cannot successfully carry divine weight if you remain like loose sand. You cannot execute major destiny assignments if you are mere sand, without spiritual weight, structure, and form. God may not be able to put more on your life until you get it right in the place of your prayer life, convictions, consecration, consistency, commitment, dedication, etc. God will not build on you if you remain spiritually feather weight.
If you have been like loose sand, now is the time to ask God to form you into a rock that will stand whether there be rain or flood. It’s time to become that vessel that God can use for assignments that have longevity. It’s time to become that man that is not swayed by every wind of doctrine; it’s time to encounter God afresh and become a better man in His hands; it’s time to get better than you have always been.
Ask God to form you into a better vessel that will stand the test of time; ask God to make you that rock that will outlive the ‘rains’ and the ‘floods’.
