Our Focal Scripture speaks of that moment when David hastened towards Goliath. It was time to fight and defeat Goliath and remove the reproach from the armies of Israel, and David was not slow or slack about it. David literally ran towards Goliath. He was fast about the mission of cutting Goliath to size. He approached the assignment of decimating Goliath with some urgency. He approached his mission with a sense of speed.
Friend, as you approach your assignments, don’t be slack about it. Be urgent. Approach your mission with a sense of urgency. Approach your new season with some sense of urgency. Approach your goals with a sense of urgency. Approach your responsibilities with a sense of urgency. Approach your destiny mandate with a sense of urgency. Approach your need for change with a sense of urgency. Approach and decimate your ‘Goliath’ urgently.
Goliath was plotting to decimate David; David was also plotting to bring down Goliath, and delays were not going to be in David’s best interest. You see that your mission? You are not the only one who wants to achieve it. You have rivals, you have competitors, you even have haters, and you can’t afford to waste your time when urgency is needed. Every delay in your assignment is an advantage to your ‘Goliath’ to defeat you.
Arise and chase your dreams like one who has no time to waste. Hasten your movement towards your goals. Run towards your targets. Push towards your assignment as if there won’t be time to do it tomorrow. Push towards your responsibilities and give your best now, rather than later. If there is a mission to accomplish, get to it and deal with it before your ‘Goliath’ has enough time to do things differently.
If you keep killing time instead of running towards your assignment, remember that the time you kill will not resurrect on its own. When the chips are down, you were wired to run ahead of your ‘Goliath’. You were not wired to waste time that is meant for accomplishments.
