Blessings That Shift

24th October 2019

Scripture Reading: 1 Kings 18: 40-46

Focus

“And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not.” (1 Kings 18: 44)

In our Focal Scripture, Elijah told Ahab to start moving so that the rain does not stop him. That rain was a blessing that Israel was waiting for; it was a miracle that had eluded them for three and half years; it was a blessing that had the capacity to restore fruitfulness and productivity to Israel; and whilst it was on the way, Ahab was commanded to start moving. So it was a blessing that was to cause a positional shift in the life of Ahab.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: God is sending you that blessing that will cause a major shift in your life. God is sending you that blessing that will reposition you on a higher level; God is sending you that mega result that will cause a shift in your financial level; God is causing you to receive that divine release of favour that will give you access into the corridors of power; God is granting you breakthroughs that will cause kings to come to you.

Ahab may indeed have wanted to remain where he was, but the blessing wouldn’t let him remain at the same spot. Hear me as I hear the Lord: even if you want to remain where you are, your blessing will say no; even if you feel comfortable with where God has brought you, the blessing on your life will compel fresh movements that will position you on the mountain of relevance and influence. Your blessing will move you ahead.

Ahab did not plan to move at the time when Elijah instructed him to move. So it was a movement that was not in his immediate plan. It was a movement he did not anticipate. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you are about to make that forward movement that you did not plan for; you are about to advance in ways you did not bargain for; you are about to make progress in areas you didn’t prepare for; you are about to progress suddenly.

Get set for that blessing that will cause a major shift in your life. Get set for that blessing that will compel you to move forward.
