In our Focal Scripture, Jesus touched the casket and halted the funeral procession. There was a young man in that casket who was set for burial. There was a matter of death that was about to lead to burial, and Jesus touched the casket. There was death in the casket, but Jesus touched it. Jesus would later describe Himself as the way, truth and life. So Jesus saw a casket with death inside, and He gave a touch of life to it. Jesus changed the atmosphere of the casket even before raising the dead.
Friend, there may be death in that ‘casket’, but dare to change the atmosphere from death to life. Change the atmosphere in your workplace. Change the atmosphere in your family. Change the atmosphere in your business. Even if your environment is oozing out the stench of death and destruction, prayerfully and prophetically turn it around and cause it to become an environment of life. Bring the presence of God into your dead situations. Speak life into your dead places.
The miracle of the resurrection of that young man in our Focal Scripture, began when Jesus touched the casket. The miracle began with a change in that environment of death. The results you earnestly await will begin when you dare to change the atmosphere around you and yours. The new season you want to birth will start to show up when you dare to speak life and change the atmosphere of negativity.
Notice that after touching the casket, Jesus called out to the young man, and he sat up and began to speak. After changing the atmosphere, Jesus made a proclamation upon the life of that young man, and he came back to life. As you change the atmosphere around you, your proclamations will cause your dead things to come back to life. As you change the atmosphere of your family, finances, health, etc., new results will show up.
It is an error to expect a dead situation to change, when the atmosphere of death is yet to give way. Prayerfully change the atmosphere around you and your results will change in a matter of time.
