In our Focal Scripture, Jesus touched the casket that had the body of the son of the widow of Nain. There was death in the casket, and when Jesus showed up, He put His hand on the casket. Jesus described Himself as the way, the truth and the life (see John 14 vs. 6). According to John, “…in him was life” (see John 1 vs. 4). So He that was life put His hand on the casket. Where there was death, Jesus put His hand, and power was revealed.
Friend, it’s not enough to be a carrier of power; put your hand on the ‘caskets’ that are carrying ‘death’ around you. Put your hands on the dead situations around you; put your hands on the dysfunctional situations around you; put your hands on the dead things around you; put your hands on the things around you that want to die; put your hands on that environment that is killing what belongs to you.
Whilst it may have seemed that Jesus merely put His hand of the casket, it was more than just that. It was an infusion of life into the casket. Jesus seemed to release life into what was already dead. Jesus changed the atmosphere of the casket even when He was yet to call the dead man back to life. I am aware that the dead may still be dead, but change the environment of death around you. Speak life into every dead environment.
Don’t allow the environment of death to persist around you. Change every negative environment around you with your prayers and declarations. Speak life where there is death. Speak rising where there is a going down. Speak abundance where there is lack. Speak growth where there is decline. Speak progress where there is retrogression. Speak restoration where there were losses. Speak what you want to see, not what you see.
Remember, the miracle of resurrection of that young man began when Jesus touched the bier. His miracle began when the environment of life replaced the environment of death. Change every negative environment around you, and the change you seek will appear.
