DEAL WITH THE ROOTS

26th February 2024

Scripture Reading: MARK 10: 46-52

Focus

“And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.” (Mark 10: 51)

When blind Bartimaeus sat by the highway side, all he could do was to ask for alms. At best, he begged and got alms every day. Notice than when Jesus showed up, Bartimaeus did not ask for alms. He asked for healing. He probably wouldn’t have been a beggar if not for blindness. So blindness was at the root of his begging, and when he got the chance to ask from Jesus, he demanded for healing. He sought for solution from the roots.

Friend, in 2024, normalize dealing with issues from their roots. Look beyond the symptoms you see on the surface and deal with issues from their roots. Deal with every affliction from its roots. Deal with every battle from its roots. Deal with every conspiracy from its roots. Deal with every health challenge from its roots. Deal with every negative pattern from its roots. Deal with every satanic roadblock from its roots.

The beggarly disposition of Bartimaeus was a mere symptom of a bigger issue of blindness, and when he got the chance to meet Jesus, he didn’t ask for alms, he asked for his sight to be restored. He asked that his challenge be dealt with from the roots, and Jesus did. Instead of asking for alms, ask for the real deal. Ask for negativity to be uprooted from where it was planted. Ask for change to begin from the root of your issues.

Notice that the moment Bartimaeus received his sight, there was no more mention of him sitting and asking for alms. Jesus dealt with his issue from the roots, and the symptoms promptly disappeared. Ask God to deal with the root of every battle you are currently dealing with, and the symptoms will disappear. Ask God to uproot every health challenge from its roots. Ask God to uproot whatever the enemy has thrown at you from its roots.

Remember, if issues are dealt with from the roots, the symptoms will disappear. Today, whatever God has not planted has been uprooted.

Declaration

Whatsoever the Lord has not planted in my life is uprooted, in Jesus’ name!
