Discern The Vipers

9th September 2019

Scripture Reading: Acts 27: 41-44, 28: 1-6

Focus

“And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.” (Acts 28: 3)

In our Focal Scripture, as Paul took the sticks he fetched to the fire, a viper came forth from the heat and fastened on his hands. Paul would have thought that all he had were sticks that would help sustain his fire, but within the sticks, a viper was hidden, seeking an opportunity to harm Paul. The viper pretended to be a stick, and Paul picked it up, only for it to manifest when the heat got closer. Paul literally carried a waster.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every satanic viper that has crept in among your sticks, let the fire of God expose and consume them. Let the fire of God delete and destroy every viper that has set out to make a mess of your destiny. Let the fire of God burn every man, employee, servant, ally, friend, associate, etc pretending to be on your side but preparing for a chance to bite and harm you; let the fire destroy your vipers.

Paul had good intentions when he picked up that viper with the sticks, but the viper had no good intentions. So Paul had good intentions, but got a viper with bad intentions. Every man that is hanging around you with bad intentions to destroy you, let the fire expose and destroy them. Let the fire of God waste every waster that has arisen to reduce your destiny; let the fire of God arise against the deceivers around you.

Today, I pray for you: may God grant you discernment to know when the vipers of destiny stroll into your life. May God open your eyes to see beyond the smiles of those whose mission is to destroy you. May the Lord cause your eyes to be open to see the deception and deceitfulness of those who otherwise appear as angels of light. May God cause you to discern the vipers on time.

No longer shall the vipers creep in on you unknowingly. You will see them on time, and you will push them to the fire before they harm you.

Declaration

I discern the vipers; I push them to the fire, in Jesus’ name!
