In our Focal Scripture, the psalmist makes mention of the rod and the staff of the Shepherd. According to the psalmist, the rod and staff both comfort him. In bible times, shepherd had rods. The rod was used as a weapon to fight off wild animals who want to make a meal out of the sheep. So the shepherd was not just there to guide the sheep; he was also there to defend the sheep and attack the attackers of the sheep.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: in this season and beyond, God has arisen against the attackers of your life. God will arise and attack those who have plotted to attack you. God will arise and attack those who want to cut short your life. God will arise and attack those who want to make an easy meal out of your life. God will arise and attack those who want to reduce your destiny to rubbles. God will arise and attack your attackers.
Hear me as I hear the Lord: the attackers and satanic conspirators against you are about to run for their lives, because the Shepherd is on their matter. Those who believe that they have your downfall all figured out are about to get the shock of their lives. Those who are shooting satanic arrows at you, may they receive divine attacks. Those who are setting traps for you, may they be caught in the traps of heaven.
The predators and marauders may be hanging around, seeking for a chance to devour you, but you serve a God who takes your battles personal and reaches out to serve the enemies of your destiny the vengeance they truly deserve. You serve a God who takes His time to fight against those who fight against you. You serve a God who brings you jubilee and brings your adversaries vengeance. You serve a God who takes down your opposition.
Welcome to that season where the heavens and the earth will fight against your opposition. Welcome to that season where God Himself will attack your attackers.
