Divine Help

10th November 2021

Scripture Reading: Acts 3: 1-11

Focus

“And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;” (Acts 3: 2)

The people who brought the lame man to the temple daily, kept him where he could ask for alms from those who were going into the temple. They positioned him in a place where all he could get was what men wanted to give him. So any day that men felt like giving him, he would receive alms; and any day they didn’t want to give, he would leave empty handed. They positioned him in a place where his expectations would be tied to the choices, disposition and rating of men.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: the season of receiving help that is dependent on the disposition of men, is over. Get set for divine help. Get set for help that will come by the impulse of the Spirit of God. Get set for help that will transcend the abilities of mere mortals. Get set for help that will fill your hands. Get set for help that will come even when your environment doesn’t agree. Get set for help that will come even if you didn’t ask. Get set for help that will come against all odds.

Typically, people would have given him when they had enough to spare, or just when they felt like giving; and perhaps, he may not have received much when men were not in the mood to give. So he became a victim and a dependent of the feelings and mood of men. Hear me as I hear the Lord: your destiny will not be dependent on the feeling of men. Whether they be happy or unhappy with you, you will rise higher, move faster and grow bigger.

The story of the lame man at the temple changed the day he met Peter and John. His story changed when he met men who helped him by the impulse of the Spirit. In this season, God is sending you men who will help you by reason of the impulse of the Spirit. God is sending you men who do not need your ideas and pleas before they can help you rightly. God is sending you men who will give you help that will change your story for good.

Welcome to your new season of help that will exceed the choices of men. Welcome to your season of divine help.

Declaration
