DIVINELY ALIGNED

Scripture Reading: PSALMS 23: 1-6

Focus

“He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.” (Psalm 23: 3)

In our Focal Scripture, the psalmist famously remarked that the Lord restores his soul. Notice that in the make-up of man, there is a spirit, and a soul and a body. The soul is the interface between the spirit and the body. The soul is the seat of your thoughts, will, mind, perception, etc. Whatever happens in the soul has the ability to affect both the spirit and the body. The soul literally sits in between the spirit and the body.

Notice that the psalmist said that the Lord restores his soul. The psalmist inferred that the Lord does not allow his soul to be dislodged or disorganized. The psalmist inferred that the Lord brings his soul back to where it ought to be, between the spirit and body. The psalmist affirmed that the center of his being is restored by God. The psalmist affirmed that the Lord causes the center of his being to be reconnected to spirit and body.

Friend, I pray for you: may the Lord fix the center of your being. May the Lord cause your soul to be restored so that it can stay connected to your spirit and body. May the Lord fix the foundation of your being, so that your destiny will not suffer collapse or shipwreck. May the Lord bring your spirit, soul and body together. May the Lord cause a harmony between your spirit, soul and body. May there be inner alignment in you.

If your soul is not in alignment with your spirit and body, you may not receive what the Spirit of God is pouring into your inner man. If your soul is not in alignment with your spirit and body, you may suffer challenges in your body, and you will be unable to even experience healing medically, and spiritually. If your soul remains out of alignment, your destiny might just go out of line. If your soul is out of line, you will be out of order.

May God Himself cause a reconnection between your spirit, soul and body. May your inner man be restored. May your sanity be restored. May your thoughts be restored to order. May your soul be restored.
