When the children of Israel left Egypt, they left with God’s promise to give them the Promised Land. That same generation wandered for several years in the wilderness: they had no definite location; they were perpetually on the move; they were unsettled; they kept moving from place to place, and expectedly, some of the people died in the wilderness. Some of them started with the wilderness and ended in the wilderness.
Notice that Joshua’s generation was the generation that moved from wandering in the wilderness to possessing their own land. They moved from not having a location to having a permanent location; they moved from being unsettled to being settled; they moved from not having a place to having their own place. They moved from hanging around to being established. They moved from wandering to possession.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you are moving from wandering to possession. You will move from being unsettled to becoming settled; you will move from wandering to establishment; you will move from not having your own place to having your own place; you will move from being empty handed to possessing your possessions; you will move from running around in circles to being settled; you will move from fruitless movements to movements that will lead to more and more progress.
Henceforth, you will not be unsettled; it shall not be said that you have no place. In the places where you were hitherto without a place, God will give you your own place. In the places where you are empty handed, God will fill your hands with plenty. In the places where men laughed at you in time past, God will cause the same men to see multiple reasons to dance and celebrate with you.
When a man wanders, he looks like one without destination and one who is not working hard enough. As you receive these words, you will possess the portion that heaven already earmarked for you.
