Don’t Be Absent

3rd May 2021

Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 30: 1-20

Focus

“And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire;” (1 Samuel 30: 1)

In our Focal Scripture, David and his men returned to Ziklag and found that their wives and children had been taken captives and all their property taken away. They were away from their territory, and they soon suffered losses. They were absent from their territory and things worked against them. Enemies took advantage of their absence to work against them. They became victims of what happened in their absence.

Friend, when you are absent, there just might be enemies who will work against your destiny. Some people will tell wicked and false tales about you because you are absent; some people will poison the hearts of others against you because you are absent; some people will distort facts in order to pull you down in your absence; some people will try to steal from you or try to destroy what is yours in your absence.

Today, I pray for you: when your name comes up in your absence, may the Lord speak for you. When decisions are to be taken concerning you in your absence, may it end in your favour. May your absence not cost you major opportunities; may your portion and possessions not be diverted in your absence. May your open doors not be given to, or taken by another in your absence. May you not be a victim of your own absence.

You may not be omnipresent, but you serve an Omnipresent God who will expose every evil plot in your absence. God will expose every conspiracy that happens in your absence. God will make a mess of every evil plot that is being made against you without your knowledge. Every evil that happened against you in your absence, right now, I reverse it. I reverse every negativity that has been planted against you in your absence.

David recovered what was taken from him after he asked the Lord for direction. Divine revelation helped him to recover from the impact of his absence. Ask God to open your eyes to see, and you won’t be a victim.

Declaration

I won’t be a victim of what happens in my absence, in Jesus’ name!
