Don’t Stop Worshipping

11th March 2019

Scripture Reading: John 11: 1-44

Focus

“Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.” (John 11: 32)

When Mary came to where Jesus was, she fell at His feet. Mary’s action was symbolic of worship. At a time when everyone would have expected her tears, she chose to still worship the Master she believed in. In the midst of her pain, she worshipped. Things had gone awry, but it didn’t stop Mary from falling at Jesus’ feet. In the midst of the pain of losing a loved one, Mary came to Jesus in worship. Her circumstance did not stop her worship.

Friend, the devil might have told you that it is okay to worship deeply when everything is fine, bills paid, doors open, money flowing in, miracles happening all around, etc; but like Mary, dare to worship when things are not in order. Let your worship be lifted to God at times when all is not well. Let your circumstances not silence you in the place of your worship and intimacy with Jesus. No matter what happens, still worship.

True worship is not released to God because everything is all right. True worship comes from your spirit man, unpolluted by the challenges that want to drive you crazy. True worship flows freely even when there are unpaid bills and unfulfilled expectations. True worship does not seek for Jesus’ hands; it seeks to find space at His feet, to dwell in His presence, pouring out the entirety of one’s being to Him who sits on the throne.

Undoubtedly, Mary’s act of worship was not in vain. She worshipped her way into an uncommon miracle. Hear me as I hear the Lord: your worship will unlock the doors of mighty miracles that will shock you beyond your expectations. The more you worship Him who sits on the throne, the more the walls standing against your destiny will crumble like a pack of cards.

Let your worship arise from your inner man, and let it rise above the vicissitudes of this life. Your worship will unlock the wells of goodness and mercy, and connect you to your unfulfilled expectations.

Declaration
