While the Midianites kept tormenting Israel and razing down their fields with their cattle and camels, Gideon was threshing wheat by the winepress. Ordinary, wheat ought to be threshed in the threshing floor. The winepress, from its name, is meant for brewing wine. So, in a place where the Midianites did not expect wheat, Gideon was threshing wheat in huge volumes. In a place where they had written off, Gideon threshed wheat.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: in the places where even your enemies have written you off, you will thresh wheat. In the places where men believe that no result will come forth for you, mega results will come your way. In the places where no one expects you to hit major targets, you will exceed your expectations. In the places where your adversaries do not expect good things to arise from, God will shock them by causing a mega harvest.
Hear me as I hear the Lord: your winepress will thresh wheat. Your insignificant and overlooked places will bring forth a harvest that will amaze even your naysayers. Your small places will yield mega results. Your overlooked ideas will yield profit that will amaze you. Your wilderness is becoming a fruitful field. Your dry grounds are becoming pools of water. Your barns are becoming filled with the increase of the field.
Go and tell those who say you are an overlooked ‘winepress’, to look again. They may have called you empty, but you are filled with great wonders. They may have written you off, but you are a great wonder that cannot be swept underneath. The people who wrote you off have no idea that you are God’s investment, never to go down no matter the circumstances. That winepress that should have nothing to show will soon show forth.
Don’t be the one writing off your ‘winepress’ when you should engage it and thresh ‘wheat’ in it. Don’t be counted amongst those who closed chapters that God Himself was yet to conclude.
