FACE YOUR ASSIGNMENT

16th August 2023

Scripture Reading: 1 KINGS 3: 16-28

Focus

“Then came there two women, that were harlots, unto the king, and stood before him.” (1 Kings 3: 16)

It is instructive to observe that when Solomon became king, one of his first duties was to adjudicate between two harlots who came for his judgement. Solomon ascended the throne, and the next thing that came his way was the responsibility of adjudicating for the people. It was not just a throne to be enjoyed; it was a throne that came with responsibilities. It was a throne that came with huge assignments.

Friend, as God positions you on the higher levels you have been aspiring to attain, take heed to fulfill every assignment that your throne comes with. Face the assignments and responsibilities that your throne puts before you. Face the assignments of your new season. Face the assignments of your elevated positions. Face the assignments of your advancement. Face the assignments that your rising brought to you.

Solomon became famous after adjudicating for the two women who came to him for judgement. His fame rose as he faced the assignment of his throne. You may never be counted as relevant or important if you do not intentionally face the assignments that heaven have placed on you. You may never be known in the nations if all you desire are the perks of the throne without being ready for the responsibility of the throne.

As God causes you to rise, discover the assignment in your rising. Discover the assignment attached to the extra wealth He has brought your way. Discover the assignment attached to the greater access He has granted you. Discover the assignment attached to your new mega results. Discover the assignment that God had in mind whilst opening new doors and gates for you. Discover the assignment for your throne.

May it never be said that you attained the throne but never fulfilled the assignments it came with. May it never be said that the perks of your throne were more important than the assignment attached to the throne.

Declaration

As I rise, I will fulfil the assignments my throne has come with, in Jesus’ name!
