Helpers Or Reducers

False Helpers

27th March 2022

Scripture Reading: Mark 5: 21-34

Focus

“And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,” (Mark 5: 26)

The woman with the issue of blood suffered in the hands of many physicians. She went to physicians to get help, but instead of getting help, she got suffering. People who should have helped her became a part of her problem. People who should give her support through her challenge collected the money she had and left her worse off. Relationships with physicians that began like a great idea soon turned sour. Helpers soon became tormenters.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: your helpers will not become tormenters. The people that are positioned to be of help to you will not work against you. The men who are carriers of your solutions will not become multipliers of your troubles. The same men who have the identity of knowing what to do to help you rise out of adversity, will not suddenly become tools for your stagnation. Your helpers will not work against you.

The sad part of this woman’s issue with her doctors, was that she willingly sought their services, believing them to be solutions, only to realize, albeit belatedly, that she had just walked into the hands of tormenters. They probably kept giving her hope, until she spent all she had with no improvement. Every structure of deception set up around you, to reduce you instead of increasing you, I command it to scatter by fire.

Today, I pray for you: your eyes will be open to discern the men who are not there to help you. Your eyes will be open to discern the investments that have come to impoverish you. Your eyes will be open to see the doors that are open but not for your own good. Your eyes of understanding will be open to discern between those that want to take you down and those who want you to go up. Your eyes will be open so you can avoid tormenters.

Ask the Lord to disconnect you from every supposed helper that has truly become a tormenter. Ask the Lord to take you away from the pathway of false helpers.

Declaration

I disconnect from every false helper; I shall not be tormented by supposed helpers, in Jesus’ name!
