Favour Above Money

23rd September 2019

Scripture Reading: John 6: 1-12

Focus

“Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.” (John 6: 7)

In our Focal Scripture, Philip suggested that two hundred pennyworth of bread would not be sufficient to feed the multitude, even if they all took a little. By Philip’s assertion, what they could make available was not going to be enough. By Philip’s assertion, even if money was spent, there would still be no solution. By Philip’s assertion, the problem was too big for their money.

Jesus was not about to solve that problem from the platform of money. He was going to solve the problem with divine resources superimposed on the bread and fish of the young lad. Philip reduced his destiny to a level of money, but Jesus upgraded him from a philosophy of money to a new realm of favour. It was a case of solutions coming by favour and not by money.

Friend, money cannot control your destiny. Money is under your feet. Money will not limit your destiny anymore. When you do not have money, the grace of God will come through for you; when you are unable to achieve results on account of the money at your disposal, God will empower you divinely to achieve more than you bargained for; God will empower you to do more than your money is able to achieve.

God is granting you favour that is bigger than money. God will position you strategically to accomplish what your money will ordinarily not accomplish; God will favour you to a point where you will have results that do not look like the resources at your disposal; God will favour you to succeed in ways that your resources would not have been able to fund. God is granting you favour that will do more than money can do for you.

Look beyond the money you do not have and pay attention to the God who does not need money to make things happen. If God be for you, you shall have favour that will accomplish more than money.

Declaration

I receive favour that does more than money, in Jesus’ name!
