In our Focal Scripture, Elisha said, “Tomorrow about this time…”. The miracle that was to happen was to come “Tomorrow, about this time”. At the time that Elisha spoke, there was still a famine coupled with the siege laid by the King of Syria. Things were still bad at that moment, but Elisha said, “Tomorrow, about this time”. So the same time that looked bad in their today was going to look good in their tomorrow. The same time that showed up with pain was going to show up with favour and joy.
Friend, I pray for you: in this year, the same cycles that birthed pain and distress will come back with high favours and laughter. The same landmarks that came with disappointments will show up again with good news that will put you in the news. The same places where you were unceremoniously rejected in time past will become the place of your celebration and congratulations. The same places where men laughed at you will become places where the favour of God on you will speak loudly.
The children of Israel were probably expecting yet another day of lack, they were expecting another day of the famine, they were expecting another day of the siege that was laid against them, when God turned it around and caused them to experience favour in place of distress. Hear me as I hear the Lord: the negativity that you may be expecting will not be your portion. The embarrassments you are currently expecting will be replaced with favour.
Today, I pray for you: God will deliver you from the negative expectations that are hinged on your environment. As men expect the negative, you will receive the positive. As men expect doors to be locked against you, those doors will be opened to you. As men expect you to go under, you will rise higher. As men think it is time for you to be rejected, it will turn around and become the time for you to be accepted in higher levels.
The set time to favour you, is now. It’s favour o’clock. It is your time for pain to be replaced with favour.
