Fight And Win

23rd April 2019

Scripture Reading: Esther 6: 1-14

Focus

“On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.” (Esther 6: 1)

Our Focal Scripture speaks of that night when the king could not sleep until the matter of Mordecai was addressed. The name Mordecai means warrior. So the man who was eventually remembered by the king was ‘warrior’. The man whose status would eventually change was ‘Warrior’; the man who lived to witness a change of levels, was named ‘Warrior’. The man who would later rise from poverty to royalty was ‘Warrior’.

Friend, the battles against you may be many, but God says, keep fighting, and don’t give up. Fight the battles that you are faced with; fight the battle to remain relevant in your generation; fight the battle to remain on fire for God; fight the battle to keep your prayer life and consecration intact; fight the battle to keep the destinies of your children from being reduced or polluted; fight the battle to defeat every satanic opposition against you.

The success stories of life belong to those who fight their battles without giving up. Greatness in life belongs to those who keep fighting and pushing when everyone feels it is time to call it quits. You may even be tired in the course of your fights in life; just rest and dust yourself and keep fighting. No matter how tired you are, giving up is not an option. No matter how frustrated or dejected you are, you have what it takes to win.

For one who has been redeemed by the blood of Jesus, you are not just fighting to win; you are fighting because you already won by the victory that Christ already paid for. You only fight to enforce the victory that Christ has given you; you are not fighting to prove a personal point; you are fighting to align yourself with the greatness and victory that Jesus already orchestrated.

Remember, Mordecai remained steadfast until he was remembered and honoured. Stay on the grind; fight the good fight of faith, and you will be victorious.

Declaration

I will win my battles; I’m not giving up, in Jesus’ name!
