FOR HIS NAME’S SAKE

4th July 2023

Scripture Reading: PSALMS 23: 1-6

Focus

“He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.” (Psalm 23: 3)

In our Focal Scripture, the psalmist proclaimed that the Lord leads him in the paths of righteousness, for his name’s sake. Notice that the Lord was not leading him in paths that are right, in order to make him happy. The Lord was not doing it in order to please the psalmist. The Lord was not necessarily doing it in a bid to make the psalmist smile. He was doing it for the sake of His own name. He was doing it to keep up with his name.

Friend, God will come through for you because of His name’s sake. There are things the Lord will do in your life for His name’s sake. There are deliverances that He will grant you so that His name will not be put to shame. There are major achievements that God will cause to come your way for His name’s sake. There are battles the Lord will fight for you so that your confessions of Him will not be queried by the heathen.

Hear me as I hear the Lord: for the sake of God’s name, you will be divinely remembered. For the sake of God’s integrity, your story will change for good. For the sake of God’s name, your path is about to be covered with butter, and your paths will drop fatness. For the sake of the name of the Lord, your testimonies will break forth on all sides. For the sake of the Lord’s name, negativity and affliction will not arise a second time.

Because the name of God is involved, He will do what you never imagined He would do for you. Because the name of God is involved, there are doors that will be freely opened to you. Because the name of the Lord is involved, there are roadblocks and policies that will be rolled away and waived so that you can advance. Because the name of the Lord is involved, angels will be mobilized to supply heaven’s portion for you speedily.

Your name may not be enough to make it happen, but the name of the Lord is more than enough. For His name’s sake, your story is about to change for good.

Declaration

Because the name of the Lord is involved, I receive divine portions, in Jesus’ name!
