Fruitless Efforts

29th April 2019

Scripture Reading: Esther 6: 1-14

Focus

“On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.” (Esther 6: 1)

Mordecai played a major role in nurturing Esther until she became queen; he also played a role in saving King Ahasuerus from the wicked plot of Bigthana and Teresh. After playing such noble roles, Mordecai remained a mere gatekeeper in the palace of Ahasuerus. Someone who played a role in the emergence of Queen Esther was so unbelievably empty handed after his major roles. It was a case of efforts without results to show.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: your efforts shall no longer be fruitless. Your efforts will no longer leave you empty handed. You will no longer be counted among those who have done well but have nothing to show for it; you will no longer be counted among those who have made impact in the lives of others with no one making impact on your own life; you will not be counted among those who added value to others, with no benefit.

Mordecai made significant inputs into the lives of the King and Queen, yet remained in the place of obscurity. He did so much but had so little. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you will no longer do so much and have so little; you will no longer be in obscurity; you will not do so well for others, yet have no one doing well for you; you will not be counted among those whose lives are not reflective of the efforts they have made in life. Your level in life will not be a mockery of your best efforts.

In this new season, as you make little efforts, major, massive results shall follow. Every little you do shall be rewarded with many. Every input you make shall attract the attention of those that matter. Your good works shall no longer be unnoticed. For every help you have given, greater help shall come your way; for everyone you have lifted, greater lifting shall come your way; for every effort made, greater heights await you.

The same God who caused Mordecai’s efforts to eventually yield results will cause your efforts to yield results without delay.

Declaration

The cycle of fruitless efforts is broken, in Jesus’ name!
