Scripture Reading: John 6: 1-12

“When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?” (John 6: 5)

As the multitude got closer to Jesus, He began asking Philip where they could buy bread to feed the multitude. Jesus said nothing about that multitude when they were not within sight; but the moment He saw them, He knew they were getting closer, and He expressed a desire to feed them. Their proximity caused Him to release His next plan for them. As they came closer to Him, He made His agenda revealed.

Friend, when you get closer to God, He will reveal more and more of His agenda for your life. The more you approach God in prayers, the more He would cause the plans He has concerning you to come to light. The more you deepen your intimacy with Jesus, the more He opens your eyes to see deep and unsearchable truths you may never have known. The more you stay close to Jesus, the more He causes your glorious future to be revealed.

Draw nearer to God and He will draw nearer to you; draw closer to Jesus and He will open your eyes to see unsearchable things you never knew; draw nearer to Jesus and He will show you His next level plans for you; draw nearer to Jesus and He will unveil the future to you; draw nearer to Jesus in the place of prayer, meditation on the word, etc and He will show more of Himself to you; draw closer to Jesus and you will see more.

There are matters you will never be privy to until you get closer to Jesus, in the secret place. Strengthen your inner chamber where only you and God meet, and where your vulnerabilities meet His abilities. Deepen your intimacy with Jesus; spend more time alone with Him; speak more often to Him, and do well to listen to Him speak back to you; don’t let the cares of this life get you so busy that Jesus takes a back seat in your life.

There is an unveiling of a next level that is not on the cards that will only happen as you draw closer to Jesus.

I draw nearer to Jesus, in Jesus’ name!
