God Is Ahead

17 April 2019

Scripture Reading: Mark 16: 1-9

Focus

“But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.” (Mark 16: 7)

In our Focal Scripture, the angel told the women who came for Jesus’ body to tell His disciples that He had gone ahead of them into Galilee. Jesus’ disciples needed to go to Galilee, but Jesus had taken the pains to get there ahead of them. Jesus positioned Himself in the destination that His disciples were yet to get to; Jesus went to their next level to wait for them; so before any of the disciples could get to Galilee, Jesus was there.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: God will go ahead of you. Before you come face to face with your ‘Galilee’, God will be there waiting for you; before you reach your next level, God will be there waiting for you; before you arrive at the next opportunity, God will be there waiting for you; before you arrive at the next destiny stop, God will be there waiting for you; before you make your next move, God would have gone ahead of you.

When God goes ahead of you, He makes your crooked places straight; He makes your mountains to skip like rams; He makes your opposition fade like flowers under a scorching sun; when God goes ahead of you, He makes arrangements for the results you are not yet planning for; when God goes ahead of you, He opens the doors that would have been shut at you; when God goes ahead of you, no evil will be sustained against you.

Jesus’ disciples did not push Him to go ahead of them; Jesus simply decided to go ahead of them. God has gone ahead of you; God will still go ahead of you; God will deal with your opposition before you get to them; God will make arrangements for your success even before you have taken a step towards it; God will go ahead of you to make the journey ahead easier than you planned.

Ask God to go ahead of you and make your crooked places to become straight and your rough places smooth.
