When it became difficult for Moses’ mother to keep him in hiding, she made an ark of bulrushes, and put him in the ark, allowing it to slide to the river bank. Notice that when God would destroy the earth, He told Noah to build an ark (Genesis 6 vs. 13-14). God told Noah to build an ark; Moses’ mother was not told to build an ark, but she seemed to borrow a divine pattern that had worked. She plugged into a godly pattern and saved her son.
Friend, in 2023, whenever you have not heard from God, follow patterns that have worked before. When you are not sure of how to proceed and navigate through the murky waters of life, follow godly patterns that have worked before. Follow the godly patterns that have worked for people ahead of you. Follow the godly patterns of people who succeeded before you came on board. Follow the patterns that have worked already.
In 2023 and beyond, be mindful to follow Godly patterns. Follow patterns from scripture. Follow the positive, productive patterns of those who have gone ahead of you. Follow the pattern of fervent prayer. Follow the patterns of faith in God. Follow the patterns of walking closely with God. Follow the patterns of applying Godly wisdom. Follow the patterns of working hard and being diligent. Follow the patterns that have worked.
When you follow godly patterns, even when you may not have clarity of direction, you will arrive at your destination. Just like Moses’ mother didn’t hear from God but followed the patterns of one who heard from God, when you follow godly patterns, you will gain the result of those who heard directly from God. When you can’t find direction to your destination, find a direction through the godly patterns that have worked before.
Today, I pray for you: every positive pattern you have followed will deliver results. May the patterns that brought success to others also bring you success.
