Our Focal Scripture speaks of a man from the house of Levi who married a daughter of Levi. Levites were consecrated and separated from the other tribes of Israel. They were God’s responsibility in Old Testament times. God issued decrees on how they would be catered for. Levites were a remarkable and consecrated group; they were a virtuous group of people.
The man in our Focal Scripture wanted to get married, and he went for another Levite. He simply went for someone who had the same consecration and separation he had been called to; he went for someone who had the same Levitical covenant that he had. He went for someone as virtuous as he was. An uncommon seed (Moses) was to come forth through a Levite, and he began by adding virtue unto virtue.
Friend, if you desire to birth an uncommon seed, then grow and increase in the place of virtue. Grow your consecration; grow your dedication and commitment to God; grow your depth in matters of the Spirit; go for more of God; surround yourself with people who are also seeking God; surround yourself with people whose desires are in alignment with yours; surround yourself with people who are an addition to your destiny journey.
Never make the mistake of surrounding yourself with people who will dilute all that you represent. Don’t get deeply attached with people who do not have the same covenant that you have in Christ; don’t get attached to, or surrounded by people who have no regard for the things that matter to you; don’t tag along with people who have no regard for your destiny assignment; don’t join the company that will dilute you.
Remember, greatness is the result when virtues are raised to the next level. Diligently seek to have more and more of God; and do well to stay away from them if they dilute your zeal and passion for God.
