Helpers Of Increase

18th March 2021

Scripture Reading: 2 Kings 4: 1-7

Focus

: “So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured out.” (2 Kings 4: 5)

Our Focal Scripture reveals that the sons of the widow of one of the sons of the prophets brought vessels to her, into which she poured her oil and it multiplied. That woman was on her way to increase that would change her status for good, and she had people around her who could make useful contributions to her goal. She was surrounded by useful allies who had value to contribute to her next level.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you will be surrounded by men who will bring you ‘vessels’ for your increase. You will be surrounded by men whose activities will advance your purpose and assignment. God will send you men who will assist you on the pathway to relevance. God will position men around you who will bear your burdens as you advance forwards. God will send you helpers on your pathway to increase.

Those sons were not the type that could only consume what was available without playing roles to make something available. By the mercies of God, they were sons that could make a difference. They were not a minus in the mission of that woman. Hear me as I hear the Lord: the hand of the Lord will be upon those around you so that they will add and not subtract from your greatness. No man will be a spoiler in your increase.

Don’t make the mistake of surrounding yourself with people who will distract you from your mission and God-given assignment. Don’t make the mistake of listening to those whose role in your life will be to talk you out of strategic actions that will birth your increase. Don’t hang around those who have a problem with your increased commitment to God. Don’t tag along with those whose presence will pollute your destiny.

Remember, you can either be surrounded by men who will increase you or help you to decrease. Choose your circle wisely.
