HIGH PLACES

12th Sep 2023

Scripture Reading: JOSHUA 2: 1-24

Focus

“But she had brought them up to the roof of the house, and hid them with the stalks of flax, which she had laid in order upon the roof.” (Joshua 2: 6)

Our Focal Scripture speaks of how Rahab hid the spies that came into her house, on the roof of the house. Those spies came in the night, and though their mission was meant to be covert, they were found out by the king of Jericho and they needed hiding. Their destinies seemed too bright to be unnoticed, and Rahab hid them on the roof. She took them to a higher level in order to hide them. She took them to a new height to hide them.

Friend, you are meant for high places. Even when you are meant to be hidden, you will only be hidden at the top. Even when you will not be noticed, you will still be in your high places. Even when you are not going to be in the spotlight, you will still be in the higher realms that heaven already destined for you. Even when you are going to be away from the prying eyes of your rivals and haters, your place will still be at the top.

Those spies came into the house of Rahab, and circumstances that were not ordinarily favourable to them took them to the top. Adversity caused them to be positioned at the top. Hear me as I hear the Lord: every negativity and adversity will take you to the top. Every unfavourable circumstance will make way for your rising. Every conspiracy against you will make way for your rising. Your battles will take you to the top.

If you have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus, then you are seated in heavenly places through Christ Jesus, far above the whims and caprices of your haters and conspirators. If Jesus has redeemed you, then you are wired for high places, beyond the reach of the enemy. As men come against you, heaven will have no option but to take you higher. As battles show up, you will find yourself on higher levels than ever before.

Don’t allow your circumstances to take you down the drains. If God be for you, then you are rising to your high places.

Declaration
