High Places

19th October 2020

Scripture Reading: 2 Kings 9: 1-13

Focus

“And Elisha the prophet called one of the children of the prophets, and said unto him, Gird up thy loins, and take this box of oil in thine hand, and go to Ramothgilead:” (2 Kings 9: 1)

Elisha called on one of the sons of the prophets, and instructed him to take a box of oil and move to Ramoth Gilead. The word ‘Ramoth’ means height or mountain; so that son of the prophets was sent to a high place. He was given an assignment in a high place; he was sent to fulfill purpose in a high place; he was commanded to move to a place that was high; he was empowered to move to a location that was high and elevated.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you are moving to your high places. You are moving to places that are elevated. You are stepping into places that are higher than where you have ever been. You are leaving the valley and moving to the mountain. You are moving out of your low places. You are rising higher than you have ever risen. You are rising to heights that you never thought you would attain. You are rising to the mountains.

Mountains are synonymous with maximum visibility. So out of obscurity, that son of the prophet was called out and sent to the place of maximum visibility. Hear me as I hear the Lord: you are stepping out of obscurity, and God is causing you to stand on the mountain of relevance and influence. God is causing you to stand in places where you can’t be ignored. God is causing you to stand in where you will shine brightly.

That son of the prophets was still in training when he was catapulted to heights he did not plan for. Get set: out of the blues, God will carry you to heights you did not bargain for. God will carry you to heights where your contemporaries have never been. God will carry you to heights that will embarrass your haters and mock your mockers. God will position you on heights that will add to your relevance, influence and visibility.

Your days in the valley are over. Your time for the mountains has arrived. Step up to high places. Receive the mantle to stand on the mountains.

Declaration

I have the mantle for high places; I stand upon the mountain of relevance and influence, in Jesus’ name!
