No Back And Forth

In The Same Place

Scripture Reading: Mark 5: 1-20

Focus

“And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.” (Mark 5: 15)

When the people mentioned in our Focal Scripture came to Jesus, they saw the same man that had previously been afflicted by an unclean spirit, sitting and clothed. In the same place where people had seen him dwell in the tombs, they came back to see that he had been transformed. In the same place where his destiny had been written off, men came back and saw him in his right mind. Those who saw him in his mad state were also there to see that God had turned his story around.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: the same people who saw you in your low estate will witness the great things that God is set to do for you. The same men that saw you go down will see you rise again. The same people who saw you in distress will see God turn your captivity around. The same men who saw you being ridiculed in public will also see you being publicly elevated. The same men who saw your shame will also see your glory when it shines forth.

In the same place where that man was known as a mad man that could not be chained, he turned around to be known as one who could sit and be clothed. His identity changed within the same place where he had a bad, negative identity. Hear me as I hear the Lord: in the same place where you have had a negative identity, God is causing you to have a new identity of one whom God has helped. Your story is changing in the same place.

Go and announce to those that have written you off, that your God is coming, and He will not stop until your story has changed for good. If there be men that are mocking you already on account of what you are dealing with, be patient, they will be there to see the new thing that God will do in your life. For every public shame you have faced, the Lord will cause you to have public celebrations that will be so loud that your haters will hear.

Whatever you may be going through at the moment is not the end of your story. The God who changes times and seasons will turn your story around.

Declaration

In the same places where I have been mocked, the Lord shall change my story, in Jesus’ name!
