It Is Settled

21st September 2019

Scripture Reading: John 6: 1-12

Focus

“And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.” (John 6: 6)

When Jesus asked about where to buy bread to feed the multitude, He already knew what to do. He already had a plan figured out. Jesus was not necessarily waiting for anybody’s suggestion in order to feed the multitude; He didn’t even need Philip’s suggestion to make the miracle happen. What He planned was what He made happen, irrespective of the different suggestions. It was not about the suggestions; it was about Him.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: regardless of the opinion of men, God will do what He said He will do. Regardless of the favourable or unfavourable words spoken concerning you, God will cause you to be established; regardless of the pitfalls and traps that are set on your path, God will cause you to walk in high places; regardless of the disposition of men towards you, your greatness will become a reality.

Jesus did not need Philip’s suggestion to feed the multitude. Even if they said nothing, He was still going to do what He planned to do. Hear me as I hear the Lord: what God is set to do in your life will not be affected by what anyone thinks about you; what God will make happen for you is already settled, and no matter what anyone says about you, it will still happen; what God has said about you is a concluded matter.

Their opinions will not change God; the negative reports in the economy will not affect God’s plan; the doctors’ report will not limit God; the negative verdict of those that do no like you will not affect God; the situation report at the moment will not affect that which God has already determined that He would do; the limitations surrounding your options will not stop God from doing all that He has set out to do in your life.

God will allow the Andrews and Philips of this world to have their say, so that He can show them that He alone has the final say in your life.

Declaration

God’s plan for me is settled; the opinion of men will not change anything, in Jesus’ name!
