IT WILL COME TO PASS

31st May 2023

Scripture Reading: 1 KINGS 17: 1-16

Focus

“And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.” (1 Kings 17: 16)

Our Focal Scripture speaks of how the barrel of meal did not waste, and the cruse of oil did not fail according to the word of the Lord. Elijah had given the word of the Lord to the woman of Zarephath, and the words he decreed all came to pass. What God said to the widow of Zarephath all came to pass. Despite the famine that would have stood against the fulfillment of God’s word, it came to pass and in full.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: every word that God has spoken to you will come to pass, nothing missing and nothing broken. No matter the circumstances you face at the moment, the word of the Lord concerning you will come to pass. No matter the famine that stands in the way of the word of the Lord concerning you, it will still be fulfilled. No matter the impossibility surrounding God’s word for you, it will still come to pass.

What was meant to last for just one meal, remained for the entire season of famine, in order for the word of the Lord to come to pass. God caused the impossible to happen in order to fulfill His word. Hear me as I hear the Lord: the impossible will come your way in order for the word of the Lord to be fulfilled. What is not expected to happen ordinarily, will happen in order for God’s word concerning you to come to pass.

At some point, the widow of Zarephath had to leave her situation and focus on the word of the Lord, and it was in that process that she found fulfillment. At some point, you may need to ignore your situations and circumstances and focus on what God is saying to you. Ignore the negativity around you and focus on the word of the Lord. Ignore the economy and focus on the word of the Lord. Ignore your environment and focus on the word.

If God has said it, then it will certainly come to pass. If it is the word of the Lord, no negativity will stop it from coming to pass.
