It’s Coming Back

20th May 2019

Scripture Reading: Mark 5: 21-34

Focus

“And when Jesus was passed over again by ship unto the other side, much people gathered unto him: and he was nigh unto the sea.” (Mark 5: 21)

In our Focal Scripture, Jesus returned from the other side (The Gadarenes) where He healed a mad man afflicted by a legion of demons. Before Jesus passed over to the other side, He dismissed the multitude that gathered (see Mark 4 vs. 35-36). That multitude would have been distraught and disappointed; they would have been wondering if their chance for miracles was lost for good, but it wasn’t; Jesus eventually returned.

Friend, if there be an important door you need that was once open but is now closed, hear me as I hear the Lord: it will be opened again. What you are currently missing is coming back to you; what you lost in the past is coming back to you; helpers who walked away in the past are coming back to you; opportunities that passed you by are coming back to you; events that once seemed to be against you will turn around and work in your favour.

Jesus passed over to the other side, and the multitude remained there waiting for Him. They did not give up or lose hope because they could no longer see Him. Even when it seems that things are not working in your favour, hang on, hold on, don’t lose hope, don’t lose your faith, don’t give up on yourself, don’t reduce your expectations, don’t think that God has forgotten you, and don’t imagine that things will never work again.

It was just a matter of time before Jesus returned to meet the multitude that was waiting for Him. It was just a matter of time before a door that seemed closed was opened again. Hear me again: everything is just a matter of time. Your restoration is just a matter of time; your high favour is just a matter of time; your good news is coming, and it is just a matter of time.

Give yourself some time, and what is not working at the moment will work in your favour.

Declaration

No losses; what is mine is coming back to me; it’s just a matter of time, in Jesus’ name!
