The woman with the issue of blood came in the press behind, and touched the garment of Jesus. The word ‘press’ as used in that scripture is the root word that births the word ‘pressure’. So there was pressure amongst those behind Jesus, but this woman joined. There was a difficulty that could stop her from moving, but she moved closer to Jesus. There was a hindrance on her pathway, but she wouldn’t let pressure stop her.
Friend, no matter how hard or harsh the pressure is, keep pushing. Keep pushing despite the pressures in the economy. Keep pushing despite the pressure in your finances. Keep pushing despite the stiff competition you might be dealing with. Keep pushing despite the roadblocks standing in front of you. Keep pushing despite the negative predictions of those who are so sure that things are about to get worse than ever. Keep pushing!
There were multitudes around Jesus, and a woman who had bled for twelve years would have had enough excuses to give up, but she kept pushing against all odds. She discarded the excuses that should stop her, and she pressed on. You see all those excuses urging you to stop? Ignore them all and keep pushing forward. Ignore the roadblocks and keep moving. Ignore the threats to your success and keep moving. Ignore your excuses.
Pressure was not meant to stop you; it was only meant to test your fervency and tenacity; pressure was meant to toughen you; pressure was meant to build your muscles and strengthen your focus; pressure came to take your commitment to a higher level. That pressure came to bring out the greatness in you. That pressure came to push you closer to your results. That pressure is just a phase before your mega results show up, if you press on.
Give your pressure some pressure by pushing on in spite of pressure. Embarrass your pressure by staying on the grind, against all odds. If you keep pushing and pressing through the pressure, you will prevail.
