Keep Standing

20th August 2020

Scripture Reading: Luke 5: 1-11

Focus

“And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.” (Luke 5: 2)

When Jesus came to the Lake of Gennesaret, Peter and his partners had left their ships and were washing their nets. Notice however that their ships were standing by the Lake. Those who should paddle the ships had given up, those who should help the ship to be useful and relevant had stepped out, but the ships were still standing. Those abandoned ships kept standing.

Friend, those who should make you relevant and useful in destiny may have walked away, but dare to keep standing. No matter the circumstances, you will still stand. No matter how bad the economy becomes, you will still stand. No matter who abandons you, you will still stand. No matter the big clients that walk away, you will still stand. No matter the conspiracies, you will still stand.

Hear this: whether your helpers and supporters show up or not, keep standing; whether opportunities show up or not, still stand; no matter what happens to you, still stand; no matter the haters and conspirators that gather against you, keep standing; no matter the failures of the past that still stare you in the face, still stand. Keep standing, against all odds.

Keep standing in the place of prayer; keep standing in the place of your commitment and dedication; keep being consistent even if no one is watching; keep being at your best even if there are no observers to notice or applaud you; keep being more and doing more even if those who should reward you are not interested. Like those ships in the Lake, keep standing.

Those ships kept standing, and Jesus showed up. The ships kept standing, and a greater One showed up. If you keep standing, greater days will show up for you, and greater and bigger things will come your way. If you stay on the grind, God will cause you to be rewarded with greater helpers, greater opportunities, greater results, greater offers, greater open doors, etc.

Don’t sit down and give up because of those that walked away or things that didn’t go according to plan. Keep standing, and greater days will show up for you.

Declaration
