Our Focal Scripture makes mention of the glory of the sun. One of the functions of the sun is to change seasons. When it was time to position lights that would shine for all creation, God said, “…Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:” (see Genesis 1 vs. 14-19). So the sun was created to mark the end and beginning of seasons.
Friend, for you to effectively change the seasons that God has empowered you to change, you need to know the season that needs to end and which season that needs to begin. You need to know the season that must expire immediately and the seasons that must be called forth. You need to know the seasons that you are in and the season that God would have you change into. You need to know the time allotted to every season.
It is an error to stay back in a season that should have expired. It is an error to extend a season because it is good, forgetting that God Himself often replaces the good with the better, and the better with the best. It is an error for a season to be coming to an end and you are not aware of what season should unfold. It is an error to wait for seasons to unfold when God has not even revealed the new season to you. It is an error to extend a season.
If Jesus has redeemed you, then you belong to that generation that sees the next season before it unfolds. You belong to that generation that knows the seasons that should end and the seasons that should begin. You belong to that generation that is empowered to terminate seasons that should have ended and open new seasons which should have started. You belong to that generation that sees it before it shows up.
Don’t be blind to the will of God concerning the seasons of your life and the seasons of people and circumstances around you. Know when a season should end; know the season that should end and the season that should begin.
