Scripture Reading: Zechariah 4: 1-10

Focus

“And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:” (Zechariah 4: 2)

In our Focal Scripture, Zechariah speaks of the candlestick made of gold, with bowls upon it, and lamps thereon. This candlestick was meant to produce light that would never go off (see Exodus 25 and 27). So Zechariah looked and he saw a source of light from the temple; he looked and saw light that will never go off; he looked and saw light that God Himself ordered to be put in place; he looked and saw light that was to shine perpetually.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: your light will never go out. Nothing will put off the light that God has put in you; the light of your life will not go off; the light of your spouse and children will not go off; the light of your career will not go off; the light of your business will not go off; the light of your ministry will not go off; the light of your vision will not go off; the light of your greatness will not go off; the light of your destiny will not go off.

There are winds that might want to blow off your light, but as surely as the Lord lives, your light will not be blown off. Your greatness will not be cut short; your influence and relevance will not be minimized or consumed; your advancement will not be cut short; your spread and increase will not be hindered; the unveiling of your next level will not lose steam; no wind of adversity will put off the light that God Himself put on for you.

Notice that what Zechariah saw was light that came from the temple. If your light will not go off, then it will need to come from the temple. The light that will not go off is the light that is lit in the secret place, where your fellowship and intimacy with God is unhindered. The light that will not go off is that light that flows from God’s presence. The light that will not go off is the light that comes from the intensity of your communion with God.

Make a commitment to have that light that does not go out. Make a commitment to be that light that arises from the secret place.

Declaration

I am that light that has arisen from the secret place; my light will not go off, in Jesus’ name!
