The secret of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. Night time is synonymous with darkness; vision is synonymous with light. So at a time when there should be darkness, Daniel saw a vision. In the midst of darkness, light was the portion of Daniel. At a time when darkness should bear rule, light (vision) showed up for Daniel. Daniel was that man who saw light when others saw darkness.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: in times and seasons when others see darkness, you will see light. In times and seasons when others are in the dark about what to do or how to do it, the Lord will be your light. In those moments when others are confused about what the future holds, God will show you visions that will position you for impact and relevance. In the moments when there is no ‘light’, God will be your light.
Get set: when others are down and out, God will lift you up; when others can’t see opportunities, God will cause you to see more than enough; when others can’t experience favour, you will be deeply and immensely favoured; when others are cast down, you will be lifted up; when others are rejected, you will be accepted; when others are shut out of greatness, you will be ushered into greatness by the kings of this world.
Daniel was in Babylon, he lived in Babylon, but he was not of Babylon; in the end, his lot was different from others who were in Babylon. If you have been redeemed by Jesus, then you belong to that generation that sees light when others see darkness; if Jesus has redeemed you, you are listed among those whose destinies will not be a product of darkness or the environment.
Ask God to cause light to shine forth to you in the midst of darkness. Ask God to cause your case to be different from whatever darkness that surrounds you.
