After Mordecai raised Esther and positioned her strategically and she became queen, his status did not change. Mordecai remained a mere gate keeper in the palace of Ahasuerus. Mordecai helped make royalty happen for Esther, but it was not yet happening to him. The mere fact that Esther had become queen did not change the status of Mordecai. Mordecai was that man who was so close to power, yet so far from it.
Notice that in our Focal Scripture, the process that led to Mordecai being honoured began. Without making a request, Mordecai was remembered and honoured with royalty. What he made happen for Esther suddenly located him; the good he sowed into the life of Esther later became his reality; the impact he made on Esther later came back to him. The royalty that Mordecai made happen for Esther eventually located him.
Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: royalty is about to locate you. Greatness is about to come to your doorsteps; God is about to put it in the heart of men to lift you higher; God is about to orchestrate a chain of events to cause a miraculous lifting in your life; God is about to trigger your lifting from unfamiliar and even unfriendly quarters; God is about to make royalty and honour to locate you; your story is about to change for good.
Esther did not play any role in distinguishing Mordecai; it was not a case of royalty that was solicited; it was not a payback from Esther. What God is about to do for you, the hand of a man will not be in it. If God had put it in the heart of Esther, it would have seemed that it was a favour coming from familiar quarters. Get set: God will cause royalty to locate you from places you least expect.
The same God that caused royalty to locate Esther caused royalty to also locate Mordecai. The same God who caused someone around you to be lifted will cause royalty to locate you.
