In our Focal Scripture, Jesus introduced Himself as the resurrection and the life. Martha had hopes of her brother’s resurrection; and the same thing she desired, Jesus announced it as His identity. Martha’s prayer point was Jesus’ identity and personality. Martha really didn’t need to look for the miracle of resurrection; all she needed was Jesus; all she needed was the one in whom she could find what she wanted or desired.
Friend, all you need is Jesus. Jesus has the identity of that miracle you seek. Jesus is that resurrection you need; He is that open door you need; the opportunities you need are in Jesus; the breakthroughs you need are part of Jesus’ identity; the healing you desire is part of who Jesus is; the wealth you seek is all in Jesus’ identity; the speed you want your destiny to move with is all in Jesus; everything you need is in Jesus.
Jesus identified Himself as the resurrection, He identified Himself as that which Martha was seeking and in a matter of time, He performed the miracle of resurrection. If you dare to identify Jesus by that which you need, He will show up in style. If you see your desires in the Jesus that is able to do all things, He will manifest Himself in grand style. If you look to Jesus, your face will be radiant and your life will be filled with joy.
Don’t let the enemy deceive you into walking away from Jesus simply because you seek ‘resurrection’. Don’t make the mistake of allowing the chase for your targets and desires rob you of intimacy with Jesus. Don’t allow the magnitude of what you need to achieve take your eyes away from Jesus. Don’t allow the need for physical achievements distract you from Jesus.
Look beyond whatever ‘resurrection’ you need and look to Jesus. If you look to Jesus, you will find everything you ever need.
