The lepers in our Focal Scripture were initially at the gate of Samaria, but following Elisha’s prophecy, they moved into the camp of the Syrian army. They could have remained at the gate which was the safest thing to do, but they went for the higher risk of moving to the camp of Israel’s enemies. They went closer to where the food they needed was stockpiled. They went closer to the place of God’s provision. They went closer to their open door.
Friend, you may have sighted your open door, but God says, go closer to it. Get closer to the place of your divine provision; get closer to the place of your prophecy; get closer to the place of your opportunity; get closer to the environment of your next level; get closer to the place of your thrones and crowns; get closer to the results that God has ordained for you; get closer to the environment of the fulfillment of your prophecy.
The camp of the Syrians was not the right place for unarmed lepers to go to in the middle of the night, but they went there and saw that there was no man. They took the risk of going to the enemy’s camp, and the risk paid off. Sometimes, all you need to do for your move to be effective is to take a risk. It may not make sense to make that move, but if the Spirit of God within you says yes, then listen to Him and move.
What is that step you have been procrastinating? Now is the time to take it. Now is the time to start that new business; now is the time to start writing that book; now is the time to start putting the enduring structures on which your greatness will rest; now is the time to take the risk for the results you wish to see; now is the time to discard your fears and push forward to hit those scary targets; now is the time to move.
That voice that normally tells you not to make any move is not of God; push forward, make the right moves, take the right risks, and you will hit your targets.
