Peter and John went up to the temple at the hour of prayer. The man at the beautiful gate was also kept at the gate of the temple daily. This man kept coming to the temple; he kept being at the temple even at the hour of prayer, but his situation did not change until Peter and John showed up. Notice that Peter and John had been in the upper room on the day of Pentecost when they received power. So men with power showed up, and a mighty result burst forth in the temple.
Friend, God is calling you to the upper room. God is calling you to the place of prayer. God is calling you to the place of power. God is inviting you to come up to a higher level where mere prayers will meet with power. God is calling you to a new level where you will carry the power of God, not just for yourself but for people around you who have issues that the power of God needs to deal with. God is inviting you to a new season of power and glory. God is inviting you to a new realm of power.
Men who have touched power challenge religion. Men who touch power challenge the status quo. Men who have come in contact with power understand that there is an overflow waiting for expression. Men that are carriers of power easily activate the change button no matter how complicated a situation is. Men of power use their declarations to alter the course of negativity. Men of power speak new realities into being.
God did not necessarily tell Peter and John to heal the man at the gate of the temple, but they simply carried so much power that was looking for expression. The power resident in them simply found expression in the life of the man who needed healing. Hear me as I hear the Lord: as you step into higher realms of power in God, the things that once hindered you will bow to you. As you grow in power, your gates shall be continually open.
Remember, the hour of prayer was not enough to cause change, until men of power stepped in. Can you be that man of power that will use prayer to activate change?
